Screenplay info

The script version that can be downloaded here is not the final draft but a revised third draft dated from August 1979!

This third draft still includes the 2 scenes that were cut from Raiders of the Lost Ark but ended up in it's prequel, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
The first scene is Indy traveling to Shanghai to recover a piece of the Staff of Ra. During his escape from the museum where it was housed, he sheltered from machine gun fire behind a giant rolling gong.
And in the second scene that ended up in Temple of Doom tells us how Indy and Marion flee the chaos caused by the opening of the Ark in a wild mine-cart chase sequence.
