TheRaider.net has received official confirmation, directly
from Paramount Pictures, that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of
the Crystal Skull will be 2 hours long, including credits!
Thus not 2 hours and 20 minutes as was mentioned
earlier this week. The assumption must have come from the info that
the film was distributed on 7 reels. And each reel can take "maximum"
20 minutes.
Composer John
Williams mentioned the 7 reels for Indy 4 and Hollywood
Elsewhere was the first to report the running time of 140 minutes.
But we know now that info was not correct.
Note: Indyfan Marko Grimani (from Slovenia) wrote me with the info
that he was informed by his local distributor of Indiana Jones
4 that the runtime of the new film will be 123 minutes.
So we now know that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal
Skull with 2 hours (or if correct: precisely 123 minutes) will
not be the longest Indy film after all. That record remains with
the Last Crusade at 2 hours and 7 minutes
