The Story

Indy feels like a stranger returning home from World War I. He recalls happier times during his stay in Russia. After an argument with his parents young Indy ran away from home and joined novelist Leo Tolstoy on a journey through the countryside of Russia, engaging in philosophical discussions and conflicts with colorful Gypsies and ferocious Cossacks. Eventually realizing that there's no place like home, Indy says farewell to Tolstoy and rejoins his mom and dad.

The next stop for the Jones family is Greece, where young Indy and his father visit an isolated Greek monastery perched high on the peak of a mountain. An experience, including a harrowing trip in a tiny cage up a thousand-foot mountainside and an unexpected meeting with writer Níkos Kazantzákis, that brings father and son closer together.
