Harrison Ford receives Lifetime Achievement Award
20/12/07, 3:15pm EST

With a film career that began in 1966 as a bellboy in Dead Heat on a Merry Go Round and going onto bigger and better endeavors like creating some of Hollywood's greatest screen heroes, Harrison Ford will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Cinematography Guild. Past lifetime award recipients include Julie Andrews, Clint Eastwood, and President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and former Lucasfilm producer Sid Ganis (who made the making of Raiders and Temple documentaries and appears as a missionary worker at the airport in Temple of Doom).

This isn't the first time, Mr. Ford, has been bestowed with an award honoring his work in films, as he was recipient of the 2000 American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award (as have been fellow Indy cohorts, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Sir Sean Connery).
As Indy fans well know, Mr. Ford will next be seen in this summer's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and the Wayne Kramer-directed film Crossing Over.
The ceremonies will be held at the Beverly Hilton hotel on February 5th.

Congratulations to Mr.Ford on this latest award - from everyone at TheRaider.Net; our hats (especially the fedoras) are off to you!

Reported in Variety.
