Bibliography

Bibliography for the whole series, Raiders of the Lost Drafts.

The early drafts of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom are out there on the Net, you just have to look for them. There was an early draft of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, around '85, but as far as I know it hasn't surfaced anywhere. The Monkey King script appeared on the Net late last year. Saucer Men hasn't made it to the Net yet either (but it will!).

The Jimgrim books by Talbot Mundy have all been out of print for years, although recently Insight Studios Group have announced plans to reprint them all in gorgeous illustrated volumes. If you want to read them before that, search for out-of-print editions on the Net, they'll be on sale somewhere; I strongly recommend The Nine Unknown.

Much of the background information in this series of articles came from various magazines including Starlog, Starburst, and most importantly the Cinefex issues that deal with Raiders, Temple of Doom and Last Crusade (6, 18 and 40 respectively).

I also consulted various books about Lucasfilm and Spielberg, the most important being Steven Spielberg: A Biography by Joseph McBride, Skywalking, by Dale Pollock, and George Lucas, by Chris Salewicz.

All other information has been amassed God knows where over 20 years of Indy fandom.
