to celebrate its first anniversary
the fan site is offering a few special

For the first time ever, on any

- Indiana
Jones Adventure Soundtrack
From Disneyland California
- Classic
music pieces from all three Indy

And I wish him and his Sacred
Community many more years

Great
film site JoBlo.com
has a weekly column titled The
Ten Spot in which Jim Law
gives a list of the 10 "Best
Movie Friends" or the top 10
"Moments in Bed" scenes.
Always a fun read! But this week's
subject was "The Top 15 Action
Heroes"! And guess which hero
took the first place from James Bond,
John McClane & the Terminator...
yup, Indiana Jones.
Take
your everyday fedora-wearing archaeologist
with a pissy attitude towards snakes
and throw him into the world's greatest
adventures and sure enough, you'll
get the world's greatest action
hero...
Actually,
as far as I can remember, I have yet
to see a list of top film heroes in
which Indiana Jones isn't positioned
on #1. And that's quite remarkable
for a college professor!

Top 15 Action Heroes column. |

Russell was so kind to let me know
that Raiders of the Lost Ark
will be shown in the Act
I and II theater this weekend,
Feb. 17 and 18th, at midnight. Raiders
will also be screened as the noon
feature on Feb. 18 and 19th.
Also
very interesting is that to celebrate
Raiders its 25th
birthday Act
I and II will be using a brand-new
35mm print of Raiders of the
Lost Ark . So you will get
to see the film on big screen looking
as good as the day it opened!
The
Act I and II theater
is located in Berkeley, California,
next to UC Berkeley. Visit the Landmark
Theaters site for exact theater
location info.
Russell
added that parking will be easy at
midnight, but hard to find close by
at noon showing. (and beware the mighty
parking meter; most but not all are
off on Sundays.)
Thanks
to Russell English for informing us.

| Spielberg's
Lincoln film project halted

Column
writer Jeffrey Wells announced on
his site Hollywood
Elsewhere that Spielberg's
Abraham Lincoln film, planned to start
filming around March, won't begin
production anytime soon, if at all.
Here follows what Wells wrote:
I
spoke to Liam Neeson twice last
summer at a couple of post-movie-premiere
parties, and he said that the plan
was for Steven Spielberg's Abraham
Lincoln movie, in which he'll play
the title role, to start shooting
sometime around March '06. Forget
it -- Spielberg's spokesperson Marvin
Levy told me yesterday the Lincoln
project (which will be based in
part upon Doris Kearns Goodwin's
recently published book about Lincoln)
won't roll anytime soon and is basically
up in the air.
If
this will have any effect on the production
of Indiana Jones IV
is unknown at the moment. But it does
give Spielberg the space to start
making the fourth Indy film this summer.
Lucas is also available plus Harrison
Ford has been hinting that Indy
IV might start shooting this
summer as well.
Thanks
to Brett Hopkins for the news. |

| Indiana
Jones and the Lost Continent attraction
found!

Award
winning writer Jim Hill has published
a very interesting article on his
site JimHillMedia.com
in which he unearths the site plan
for an Indiana Jones attraction that
was originally proposed for Disneyland
nearly 20 years ago. One that would
have combined a jeep ride, a mine
car-themed roller coaster, the Jungle
Cruise as well as Disneyland's own
railroad into one mega-sized Indiana
Jones-themed attraction.
Given
how much Indiana Jones IV
has been in the news lately, and
given how WDI's
new Principal Creative Advisor John
Lasseter is reportedly reviewing
all of the ride & show concepts
that the Imagineers never quite
got around to building over the
past 20 years ... I thought that
now might be a good time to talk
about the big one that got away.
You know the one that I'm talking
about, folks. It's that attraction
that was originally proposed for
Disneyland back
in the 1980s. The one that hardcore
Disney geeks have been obsessing
about for years & years now...
Jim
Hill's article
about the Indiana Jones and
the Lost Continent attraction
plans is very interesting and strongly
recommended to read! |
