Raiders
is a scary film, especially for kids |

Movies.com's
latest Cinema Files
lists "The 10 movies you gotta
see that scared the crap out of us
when we were kids". The
Exorcist is number 1 on the
list, and Stanley Kubrick's The
Shining is on spot 2. But
it's the film on spot 6 that is the
most interesting, it's Raiders
of the Lost Ark! And here's
their explanation why:
The
scene in which Indy fights off thousands
of snakes with his torch was scary
enough, but when the Ark of the
Covenant was opened and everyone's
face melted, we pretty much burst
into hysterical tears and didn't
stop crying until a week later.

The Adaptation biopic Poll |

The
website Movies.com
is currently taking a poll about Chris
Strompolos, Eric Zala, and Jayson
Lamb's Raiders of the Lost
Ark tribute film. This film
poll, to be made by Scott Rudin and
Paramount Pictures,
is being posted to see who'd like
to see it, how popular it'd be.
This
untitled biopic tells the stories
of Chris Strompolos, Eric Zala,
and Jayson Lamb, who as kids launched
an ambitious project: a shot-by-shot
remake of Raiders of the
Lost Ark using only crude
special effects and a VHS camcorder.
They finished seven years and nearly
$8,000 later. Their film, Raiders
of the Lost Ark: An Adaptation,
was eventually seen and endorsed
by Steven Spielberg himself.

here to view the Poll and
to place your vote.
Thanks
to Chris Strompolos for letting us
know!
