Indyfans visit the maker of Indy's leather jacked

  Saturday, February 15, 2003 - Gilles V

This is Local London has published an interesting story for the Indiana Jones fans. Here's how the story begins:

Yankee movie buffs have just visited Swanley to meet the maker of the leather jacket worn by whip-cracking celluloid hero Indiana Jones.
Costumier Peter Botwright, 58, was astonished when a group of movie fans asked to visit his workshop and showroom in Wested Lane, Swanley. His team, which has been in the business for 30 years, made the famous brown leather jacket worn by heart-throb Harrison Ford for the Indiana Jones series of blockbusters.
Mr Botwright was delighted to show them around the workshop. He said: "When I made the jacket, in 1980, I didn't realise how big the films would be but of course they turned out to be massive."
