Back
in 2000 the then 18 year young Joshua
Meeter made a clay animation short
film named The Award Showdown.
The short film showed the battle between
two legendary filmmakers, Steven Spielberg
and George Lucas, for one award trophy...
until Indy gets his hands on the trophy
and runs away with it.

Later
that year The Award Showdown
was discovered by Steven Spielberg
and Kathleen Kennedy through a Bagel
Cam that was being hosted
by Countingdown.com.
The filmmakers loved the short film
and had requested for their own personal
copy. Steven also asked for it to
be cleaned up for a debut on his and
Ron Howard's website (which no longer
exist). The short was then sent to
John Williams for his approval. He
loved it and gave Josh the rights
to use his music in the film.
Today,
after almost 3 years of absence, Joshua
Meeter is back with a sequel to his
acclaimed animation film. The
Filmmakers Strike Back shows
the long awaited showdown that will
determine who will embrace the coveted
award trophy for a Lifetime of Achievements.
The Filmmakers Strike Back
was originally completed in March
2001, but being the perfectionist
that Joshua is, he chose not to release
it to the public... until today.
You
can view The Filmmakers Strike
Back on Joshua's Meetervision.com
website. He has also released a more
cleaner version of the original Award
Showdown as well. Both animation
films are extremely entertaining,
especially for Steven Spielberg and
George Lucas fans!
