DVDFile.com has just debunked the latest 2 Indy Trilogy DVD news. The so-called Paramount's European 2003 DVD promo that shows Indiana Jones DVDs is indeed what we thought, "a fake"! And yesterday's rumor that the Indy DVDs will arrive in stores on November 14th is false as well.

DVDFile.com got it's information from the Paramount Home Entertainment head of publicity and also added that Steven Spielberg has made some public comments recently regarding fourth quarter release for one of the most anticipated DVD releases of all time, but that there is still no official release date released as of yet.

DavisDVD has announced this weekend that the rumored release date for the Indiana Jones DVDs is November 14th. Whether the films come as a box set, or as individual discs is still up in the air according to DavisDVD.

We can be certain that Indy will arrive on DVD late this year but there has yet to be an official announcement on the exact release date. DavisDVD's news is still a rumor.

A retail based site in Denmark (DVDDOO.dk) obtained a scanned page from what is said to be Paramount's European 2003 DVD promo sheet that shows the tentative DVD cover artwork for the Indiana Jones Trilogy. These DVDs will most likely be released around the end of this year but there are doubts that these covers are the real deal.

These DVD covers are in the same style as the most recent released Indiana Jones Trilogy and The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones video's. It is likely that these DVD covers are just a mock-up for the retail sell-sheets. I have heard from a source that we may expect Paramount's final package design to be much better and in 1 DVD Box instead of separated.
The other similar thing to the most recent released video covers are the "chapter #" texts on the discs. We already know that they are working on the DVD versions of all The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones chapters. But don't expect to see these Young Indy adventures on DVD this year or early 2004.

Consider these Indiana Jones Trilogy DVD covers to be fake as long as we don't ge an official confirmation from Paramount. This 2003 Indy DVD promo eyes professional but a closer look at it will make you doubt about it's authenticity. This promo can very well be made by any person who's skilled with Photoshop.

On our Indy on DVD page we reported that Lucas and Spielberg were having an argument with Paramount who wants to come out with all 3 Indy movies on DVD in one package. Lucas and Spielberg want to come out with one film at a time and then come out with all three movies, and maybe even the fourth one, in one package later. Well, the following message will be good news for the people that want to have all 3 Indy films in one package.

A Dutch news site from the Netherlands reported the following info:

It took a long time, but there finally is a date for the DVD release of the three Indiana Jones movies. By the end of this year all three films will be released on DVD simultaneously, similar in style to the DVD release of Back to the Future last year. Supposedly director Steven Spielberg wanted to release the films one by one on DVD, but Paramount thought differently. The movie studio decided to come out with a boxed set. The timing of the DVDs is good, considering Spielberg announced he wanted to start filming for the new Indiana Jones movie later this year.

Figures.com has posted some very exciting news for the Indy collectors! They have announced that the Indiana Jones Disney theme park assortment is going to expand:

Harry Moore Design informs us that new Indiana Jones action figures are in the works with his studio in charge of the packaging. These will be Disney Theme Park only exclusives, similar to the assortment released a few years ago. This set is scheduled to include Indy, Marion, and 3 villains.
