'Emperor's Tomb' impresses 'games extreme'

  Wednesday, May 28, 2003 - Gilles V

games xtreme has reviewed the PC version of Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Their reviewer was so impressed by the game that he gave it a 98% - earning it their Editor's choice award. Here's a part of the review:

When I first brought the game back to my dorm and began playing, my hallmates ended up clustered around the computer watching me play, cheering when I threw a smuggler into a river filled with crocodiles and jeering when another smuggler threw me down a flight of stairs. The action is fun and exciting, a perfect match for the classic Indiana Jones movies. One extremely nice touch is the inclusion of Indy lore: primarily, Indy's hat. If, during a fight, Indy's hat gets knocked off, you can go back and locate it and Indy will pick it up and put it back on. It's a fairly simple thing, but it's one of the things that really made the game for me.

About editing 'Emperor's Tomb'...

  Sunday, May 4, 2003 - Gilles V

An Emperor's Tomb fan recently contacted LucasArts to find out whether or not the community would be allowed to create modifications, levels, and more for Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.

The fan got a call back from one of the LucasArts personnel who said that you are allowed to edit the game only if you release all your modifications, levels, etc at LucasFiles.com.

The line in the terms and agreements that says "you are not allowed to release any unauthorized levels" is true. But in the case of LucasFiles.com that is authorized by LucasArts meaning you will have to release all your level and mods at that location ONLY If you don't release them their then you are going against the agreement.

So now we can start editing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb but remember that everything is legal ONLY if you release them at LucasFiles.com!

Thanks to Jake from Mixnmojo.com for letting us know.
